General Strategies TOEFL Listening Comprehension TEST
The first session is a session on TOEFL Listening Comprehension or hearing session .
In general , this session consists of 50 questions or inquiries . You are required to hear some of the conversations that had been recorded previously , and then answer the questions based on the information that has been mentioned by tape / tape .
There are three sections in Listening Comprehension sessions . The sections are:
1) PART A :
Consists of 30 short conversations ,
each conversation was followed
by a question . You are required to
choose the best answer to each question mentioned by the speaker .
2)
PART B : Consists of two long conversations , each
followed by several questions .
So , in a conversation contains
information to answer few ( 2 or 3 ) questions .
3)
PART C : Consists of three conversations , each
conversation is followed by
some questions .
General strategy
Ø Make sure you
familiarize yourself with the clue . Each TOEFL Test has relatively the same
instructions . So , the first thing or strategy that you need to take off this
session is to understand the first clues about the workmanship .
Ø Listen to any
conversation with your full attention . Concentration is the key to success .
Remember , the conversation will be read only one time . So , when you miss
just one conversation , then you will lose the opportunity to answer Question.
So, focus attention to what was being said , this is a hearing test .
Ø Find out about
the levels . On the Listening Comprehension session , questions were made with
an easy level - was - difficult .
Ø Do any answers
blank . When you are unsure of your answer , disconnect immediately and
carefully answer about the correct answer among the choices available .
Remember , there is no penalty or reduction in value against the wrong answer .
Strategy Part A
At the hearing session or TOEFL Listening Comprehension Test Part A , you will be loaded with 30 quick questions .. In this session , you will hear short conversations between two (2 ) speakers ( speakers ) followed by the question . Conversation and the question will not you meet the problem . Once you listen to the conversation and questions , you must choose the answer you think is most correct .

Strategy :
a) Focus attention on the second speaker
or speakers 2 . In general , information about the response of the matter
implied that prescribed by the second speaker ( Speaker 2 ) . As in the example
above : Narrator : What does the woman mean ?
b) Always remember that the ( very likely
) the correct answer is a re - statement of the keywords . As in the example
above , the key word is Rent ( as mentioned by Speaker 2 ) . Answer true also contain
keywords Renting a motorcycle for the trip .
c) It is important
to remember that the Listening Comprehension Part A , always spinning on the
topic :
v Restatements
v Negatives
v Suggestions
v Passives
v Conclusions
about who and where
v expressions of
agreement
I. All questions are arranged by level of
matter . Typically , the problems at an early stage has an easy difficulty
level . More and more difficult ( because of high levels ) . Problem number 1
-5 is about the easiest , and about 26-30 is a matter which requires accurate
analysis ( difficult )
II. Remember , pay careful attention to a
matter that was read , search keyword or subject / problem , and select the
most correct answer . If you are in doubt , choose the answer you think is most
reasonable . Do not get no answer because hesitation .
III. Even if you do not understand what was being
said on the whole , you still can find the correct answer .
§ If you only
know a few words or main idea of the second row ( what is mentioned by Speaker
2 ) , choose the answer that contains a restatement of the main idea .

Ø The correct answer usually has the same sound .
Ø There must be no blank answer even if you do not know the
correct answer .
Strategies Part C
